The Trick is to Kiss It

Last week I was beginning to worry that Becca didn't have enough toys to play with.  Problem solved.

On Monday, while shopping for Rich's B-day, I found these great rubber blocks at Target.  Great for chewing, stacking, squeaking, and chewing again.  Does she like them?  If you stack them in front of her, she'll use her little toes to scoop them closer to herself, without letting go of the one in her mouth.  Yeah, she likes them.

The only problem is that there are only ten in the set, and Rich feels his construction abilities are somewhat limited.  He thinks we need more blocks.

Then later this week we met up with Rich at Pep Boys, and visited a nearby toy store (I'd been eyeing) while waiting for his tire install.  More importantly, Rebecca discovered the way to get Rich to buy you whatever you want: Kiss It.

We looked at several things, then showed Rebecca this little lobster.  It makes bubble noises when you squeeze it, and then Rebecca will usually lean in and give it a kiss.  So, of course, it came home with us.  She loves to chew on the little antennae, which have a bendable wire inside.

Then I saw the basket of Ugly Dolls.  When I originally saw these I thought they looked like something I could throw together in about five minutes, but since I still haven't finished the baby quilt, or even started the kayak covers, we can pretty much rule out it actually happening.  So Rich picked up Poe, and, you guessed it, Becca kissed him.  He's now sitting next to me on the couch.  There's a great picture of him in my Big Girl Jammies post.

Becca is also now the proud owner of the Taggies Stacking Rings.  Each of the smaller rings has an animal on it and rattles, plays music, crinkles, or squeaks.  And all the glorious tags to play with.  She loves it.
Thanks, Grandmom Ellie!
