Dad's Birthday (The Boardwalk and Beach)

Rich's Birthday was this past Tuesday, so Monday we packed up the car and headed to the Ocean City Boardwalk. Becca loved the noise ("More noisy! More noisy!!"), the lights, and the people. And, down at Wonderland, she had her first taste of the rides:

This one made her a little nervous, but she was great once we were moving.

And this was her favorite:

So much so that she wanted to go on it twice.

The next morning we took the little boat over to Brigantine and enjoyed the water, then headed over to the pool before heading home.

Daddy's the best at finding crabs!

(But Mommy found all the comb jellies.)

We had originally planned on making the trip on Sunday, but Saturday night I had a lousy, food allergy-ladened dinner, which killed that plan. So we didn't get around to making Rich's cake until Friday. Becca helped me decorate the cake, and while she enjoyed playing with the frosting she (fortunately) didn't realize it was edible until we were done and the cake was safely out of reach. Then I gave her the spoon.

Happy Birthday, Dad! (And thanks for helping with the candles, Big Girl!)
