Update

My computer's been having a little trouble connecting to the internet lately. It's off and on during the day and won't connect in the evening. Since Rich's still does I thought it was my computer. The Apple store guy said the hardware's fine and re-installed the software. And even though he said they wouldn't, they deleted ALL my files. I had, fortunately, backed up my pictures that morning, but I didn't think about my music or bookmarks or the library book I was halfway through---grrrrrr. Good thing I never got around to trashing all those old CD's, right?

Anyway, that didn't solve the problem. So I spent about an hour yesterday on the phone with the Verizon folks trying to solve it. The first guy changed a bunch of settings. Didn't help. The second set everything back to the original settings and is sending me a new router, although she is "positive" that my computer is the problem. She also told me to download a broadband tuner that's supposed to help. It didn't last night, but I'm on again this morning, so we'll see. (Rebecca spent this entire phone call hanging on me and opening the front door. Oh, and screaming her head off. And yes, the second I hung up the phone she sat on the couch and started watching the show I put on for her so I could have a little peace for the call. Didn't make a peep for ten full minutes, which was good since I really needed to calm down.)

And that's why there's been no pictures. Until I get this thing worked out I don't want to spend a lot of energy copying stuff back over or off my camera. But hopefully, sooner or later, it'll work out.
