Today was the perfect lake day. Perfect. Today was also the day that someone on the lake committee (someone who owns an environmental company, incidentally, and probably a shore house) decided would be perfect to treat the lake for it's vegetation overgrowth. I take this to mean that no one else would hire his company to make it impossible to use their lake for the Fourth of July weekend, so we paid full price for his services to loose the privilege. And weren't even told until an email went out last night (at 10 pm) that it was going to happen, or that if you water your lawn from it for the next five days you won't have a lawn (*that* will be our excuse).
So on to Plan B: the Johnsons Farms petting zoo, or so we thought. Here's Rich, loading the machine with tokens (painted red quarters) to get the food (corn). See the double fence?
