Friday afternoon in Pop's backyard.
Saturday's short trip to Chuck E. Cheese was a test run for Disney next month (she's afraid of big-headed characters). She didn't seem to love it while we were there, but talked about it all day today--the games we played and the tickets.
We upgraded our zoo pass this morning so that now our rides are included. Here we are, trying to make our money back.
And for the first time she entered the petting zoo with no fear, picked up a brush, and went after the goats. So cute.
When she'd had enough, she started chanting, "Feed them! Feed them!" and headed to the feeding area. While I got change, she and Daddy decided we needed this:
But here's where it went horribly wrong. Rebecca was trying to feed the goats, but this one sheep kept creeping in.
And bit her finger. Yep, here's Rich, trying to get it out. It didn't come out on the first yank, either. .
The skin wasn't broken, and (after really scrubbing up) a hot dog and fries seemed to stem the tears, but she's been talking about the "sheep bite finger" ever since. We opted to skip out on the zoo balloon, in favor of a nap on the ride home.***Just so you don't think I'm a terrible parent who snaps pictures while her child's in pain, I'll explain that I was on the same side of the fence, sticking my arm out to try to get any shot. I didn't even realize I had this picture until we were though eating and I checked to see what I had.
