Sunday was rough--she went down around 10:30, but Rich had hooked up the baby monitor to our TV and the light was maddening. So at 1 am when I couldn't take it any more, we unhooked the TV, putting the monitor on the bed between us (Rich's idea, since the first night it was on my night stand) and fell asleep. It's still pretty irritating there, but it's better. She woke up at 3:30 and Rich went in. He woke me up at 4:30, saying she wouldn't sleep, and we traded spots. She was out within five or ten minutes, but I was afraid that I wouldn't get any sleep if I didn't stay with her. Still, I didn't sleep well, and I kept crashing into the changing table. At 8:10 Rich woke me up to make sure she woke up alone, and that was it for my night. She woke up around 8:30, and when she found the gate in the hall, started crying.
Monday night we still had trouble sleeping, but she did great--10:30 to eight. There was a rough patch when I was getting her down, about 30 seconds of crying and saying she wanted Daddy and Rebecca and Mommy's bed, but she recovered and said she wanted to sleep in her bed and get her new pillowcase in the morning. Rich was already in the kitchen when she woke up, so she happily found him in there.
Tuesday night was great--10:30 to nearly eight again, and this time she met Rich in the hallway. No tears. Another a great day.
Unfortunately for us, I had to order the comforter and it won't be here until next week. And we'll be out of bedding pieces after tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll run to Target and get some wall stickers to stretch this out. I don't think we're far enough in to let go of the rewards yet. And I know the next step will be getting her to fall asleep on her own, but I'm not so worried about it if she's staying asleep once she drops off.
