We've Had a Full Weekend--and It's Only Saturday Morning

Thursday morning Becca and I went to a birthday party. Sorry, no pictures, but it was adorable. That afternoon we got last minute tickets (great seats!) to the Phillies game. This time, no rain delay, just twelve innings, then fireworks. (It's my overtime curse, but I won't go into all that.)

She still has a bit of a love/hate relationship with the Phanatic.

We tried to get her to lay down on our laps, but she'd pop right back up.

In fact, Rebecca stayed awake for all twelve innings, the time it took to clear the outfield, and the first ten minutes of the 25 minute fireworks show, before falling asleep on my lap. Again, look how great our seats are--row twenty, and no one in front of us so we can put our feet up and Becca can climb on the fence without bothering anyone. I feel so spoiled.

Friday morning we headed back to AC for Nana's birthday, with a quick stopover at the Hamilton Mall carousel. (Rebecca **insisted** on wearing the tiara we made at the party--"Isabella give it to me!!")

Here are a few of Nana's party pictures:

And now it's Saturday morning. Rich and Rebecca made biscuits (Curious George style, apparently) and I finally took some time to myself on the couch with my computer. Aaaahhh.

Right now they're in the bathroom, reading the "chopped off" pages of her fishing magazine, and probably having the same bathroom conversation we have a lot lately--

"I want the chopped off page. Who chopped his arms off?" It's an article about a professional fisherman with no arms/legs.

"Nobody. He was born without arms and legs."

"Why is he putting it in his mouth?"

"Why is he?" (By now she knows the answer.)

"Because he has no hands."

"Thats right."

"I have hands."

"Yes you do."

"I want the other chopped off page . . . ."

And on it goes.

I'm dying laughing at the "chopped off" conversation. Sounds so much like ones we have around here. I suppose all two-year-olds are a lot alike!
