So our main plan for Fathers' Day was to stay in the shade. We started with a LATE breakfast in bed. Rebecca woke up at 6:30, but I got her back down until almost nine thirty. I never got back to sleep, but she and Rich had a nice, late morning. I finally got up around eight and started in on all that fun house stuff that got neglected on Saturday. I woke her up in time to do pancakes and presents in bed with Dad. She really is the luckiest girl in the world, having Rich for a father.
That afternoon we had a surprise visit from the Bradleys, who were up our way for a bike race that morning. Rebecca was so excited to see her cousins.
And that night we headed over to Uncle Pat's for a Fathers' Day movie-a-thon, old school style. As in silent, reel-to-reel family movies. Great Aunt Cathy; Aunt Maureen; Rebecca; and Great, Great Aunt Cass.
