And I got some beautiful flowers:
Rich took the day off on Wednesday, and we packed up the canoe and headed over to the river's boat launch. The motor made the trip extra fun. The plan was to catch trout, but we ended up throwing back about a dozen sunnies. Burgers for dinner.
Sidenote: The nearest/best boat launch is next to our town's cemetery. This has started Rebecca's newest obsession: headstones. And no matter how many times we explain that the people are not in the headstones, she keeps asking. And after we go over it, then we get to explain what would happen if you dug up and opened the coffin. One of her favorite words is "decay," so I think she likes to get back to that part of the conversation. Clearly, we've been getting some strange looks when we're out and about and talking about digging up coffins, but I guess it's always something.
